Discipline in the school is a part of personality formation.  It may be defined as that combination of all constructive influences which the school exerts in its effort to guide the students towards appropriate and acceptable behavior.  It aims to promote genuine character development, to increase respect for duly constituted authority, to promote order, regularity and proper atmosphere conducive to an effective learning process.  Above all, external discipline.  Students enrolled at MNHS are automatically bound to obey rules and regulations of the school.

MNHS reserves the right to dismiss or advised to transfer a student if his scholastic record or behavior proves that he will not profit from the education offered by the school.

 

     Strict disciplinary action is taken on the following grounds:

 

Offenses against persons;

     A. Inflicting bodily injury or assaulting another student in school/outside the school at any time.

 

     B. Threatening, intimidating, coercing or harassing a fellow student or anybody on the school premises at any time.

                

     C. Disrespect for authority.

                

     D. Writing on walls, blackboards or on any other materials anything which is destructive to the honor or reputations of the students, faculty, staff, school personnel or to the administration.

 

Offenses against property;

     A. Willful destruction of the school property.  Restitution is part of the penalty.

     B. Damaging school property through gross negligence or threatening to damage              school property willfully.

     C.   Stealing or attempting to steal from the school or stealing from others in the school  premises or outside the school campus at any time.

     D.  Unauthorized use of school materials or equipment.

     E.  Vandalism and forging or tampering school records/forms.

 

Offenses against Health and Sanitation;

 

     A. Creating or contributing to unsanitary conditions, e.g., urinating or defecating in   places other than the place provided by the school.

     B. Concealment of contagious diseases.

 

Offenses against Security;

 

     A. Unauthorized possession of deadly weapons as defined by law, within school premises.

     B. Violation of any regulation on the use of school uniform, ID’s and handbook.

 

Other Offenses;

 

     A.  Leaving school premises during class hours without previous permission of the     principal/Class Adviser/Counselor.

     B.  Possession of pornographic magazines/materials.

     C.  Violation of rules and regulations of the school.

     D.  Joining fraternities/sororities/gangs

     E.  Smoking, gambling, drinking alcoholic beverages and taking prohibited drugs.

     F.  Any immoral acts.

     G.  Wearing EARINGS and long hair for Boys.

     H.  TATTOOS and piercing on any part of the body.

     I.  Giving false testimony during an official investigation authorized by the school.
