Mayamot Advances to City Meet

    MNHS Pilgrims Volley       ball (men & women) brought their dynasty into the City Meet as they won their 12 time championship with a three straight set 3-0 against Holy Spirit Academy for men’s and La Salle for the women’s in Bagong Nayon, Nov. 5-7 2014.

        PILGRIMS broke the barricade defence of Holy Spirit Academy with the intense high speed spike of the ace player Rina Rebustillo together with high percentage assist of Frederick  Navas They won three sets to zero making it easy for them to grab the championship and advances to STCAA.

        Ronald Mendoza, coach of Mayamot NHS Volleyball men team expected to won the championship again as they won over 12 championship in the City Meet since 2002 as the PILGRIMS started training since the first day of school almost 6 months ago and he really thinks that they were ready to play. And starting Nov. 21 they will have their practice prior to the upcoming STCAA.

        They are also expecting some athletes to come particularly from La Salle, San Jose and Holy Spirit academy

         According to Coach Mendoza the dream and perseverance of the players were the key to their success.

             The  Mayamot volleyball team ( both boys and girls) spiked all other public and private schools in the unit meet held at Mayamot NHS Covered Court.

             The Mayamot boys’ team easily broke the barricade of their opponents led by their one of the giants, Navas as their ace. The winning team always lead in the three sets of every game.

            

              On the other hand, the Mayamot girls’ team also lead in every set of the game against their adversaries. Rembustillo, the captain ball of the team, led her team with her spikes and Desuyo with her seven consecutive high speed service, that made them won over their final match with Mambugan  National High School.

               Ma’am Briones , coach of girls’ team, and Sir Mendoza, coach of boys’ team, said that their players did a very good job and that they are proud of their victory.

MNHS Table Tennis grips 2nd-peat championship

                Mayamot NHS table tennis (women) Jennifer Causapin smashed down the Yunit I representatives 3-0, and clutch championship for the 2nd time in the City Meet tournament held in St. John’s Wort Montessori School, Nov 5-7 2014.

                 Jennifer Causapin dug up three straights sets making her way to the championship with an easy-win match seeing that she already overcame all his rivalry way back the past City Meet on 2013.

                 Causapin was been a player of table tennis since grade school and she also brought honour to the school. And now she was doing that again, giving Mayamot the credit of her talent.

“Nakakakaba”, Jennifer muttered as she made her way to the contest venue of St. John’s Wort Montessori School with her coach Jefferson Urminita joint hands to ease the anxiousness raging between them.

 

                Mayamot NHS gymnastics (men & women) splits up rival in the City Meet Tournament held in Bagong Nayon II Elementary School and advances to STCAA as they prevailed as the champion, Nov. 5, 2014.

                 Gymnast Faye Tagadtad, Rica Velasco, Danica Escresa for the girls and Jevi Santos, Muriel, Mheluke for the boys face the judges with head held high in their performance proving they can give the worth of their hardships aiming for the championship.

                 Coaches Jenna Flores (men) and Liezel Aling (women) guide each gymnast to success to surpass each enemy they encountered. They bestowed their full time in order to furnish their performances to satisfy the professionals.
