Musical Concert Tour: Iksan Elders Choir
The Mayamot National High School was fortunate last January 26, 2015 to have visitors from Korea to serenade the teachers and students to their inspiring and very affecting songs. This was made possible with the adroitness of Mrs. Victorian R. Yuson, the principal and the school president of Philippine International College Dr. Han. On the said day, the school also had visitors from the Division’s Office the Assistant OIC-Office of the SDS Mrs. Doris SD. Estalillo, former Congressman of Bukidnon, Mr. Lopez, and professors from PIC.
Mrs. Evelina Gabayan welcomed the guests and delivered a heartwarming message. The Grade 9 students, advisers, Grade 9 non-advisers, and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao teachers gathered at covered court to witness the concert.
The Iksan Elders choir rendered five songs, they were in Korean language but the audience appreciated them. There was a Filipina interpreter who was fluent in Hangul translated the theme of the songs they sang. The viewers have gone ecstatic when they heard the Koreans singing Leron, Leron Sinta. It clearly manifested that regardless of race music appreciation and faith to the Maker overcome language constraint. Aside from the entertainment, Iksan Elders also gave snacks and pens for Grade 9 students.
The event was short but very enjoyable.
